John Cote is Managing Partner of Sunny River Management, LLC. He currently also serves as Chairman of Industrial Inspection & Analysis, Inc., Fire Safety and Protection, LLC, and United Medical Imaging, LLC. John brings a background in investment banking from his years at J.P. Morgan where he worked on equity, debt, and M&A transactions in the Natural Resources Coverage group, and where he was a member of the Corporate Client Banking strategy team. He has also served as Business Development Manager for Arizona College, a private sector allied-health school located in Glendale, AZ.
John holds an MBA from The University of Virginia Darden School of Business and a BA from Vanderbilt University with a major in Economics. Few things in life give John as much joy as a Vanderbilt football victory. He is always eager to engage in a spirited discussion regarding SEC football.
Jeremiah Yu is Managing Partner of Sunny River Management, LLC. He currently also serves as a board member to Industrial Inspection & Analysis, Inc., Fire Safety and Protection, LLC, and United Medical Imaging, LLC. Jeremiah was previously Co-Chief Executive Officer and a director of Montrose Environmental Group, Inc., a national environmental services company he co-founded in 2012 that grew through 30 acquisitions over a 4 year period. Previously, he worked in the Infrastructure & Private Equity business of UBS Global Asset Management and the Natural Resources Coverage group at J.P. Morgan. He was also previously a board member of Northern Star Generation, LLC.
Jeremiah holds an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and a SB in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Harold Queen is Operating Partner of Sunny River Management, LLC. He presently serves as President and CEO of Industrial Inspection & Analysis, Inc. Prior to joining the Sunny River Management team, Harold served in various senior leadership roles for several public and private engineering, inspection, consulting and power generation companies, including Structural Integrity Associates, Inc., AEA Sonomatic, Inc., ABB, and the Tennessee Valley Authority. During his 40+ year career, Harold has managed in diverse environments, participated in various systems implementations, led continuous improvement initiatives, and has mentored and built high impact teams.
Curt Bagnall is Operating Partner of Sunny River Management, LLC. He presently serves as CEO of Fire Safety and Protection, LLC. Prior to joining the Sunny River Management team, Curt served as President of Wells Lamont Industrial, a division of Berkshire Hathaway/Marmon Group and leading personal protective equipment (PPE) manufacturer. He was also previously a Sr. Director of Sales for Danaher and held a variety of positions for Johnson Controls including Regional General Manager for their Fire and Security business.
Curt holds an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management and Master of Engineering Management from Northwestern University, in addition to a BS in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering from Cornell University.
Scott Mattice is a Senior Associate of Sunny River Management, LLC. He currently also serves as Senior Associate at Industrial Inspection & Analysis, Inc. He brings significant experience in corporate finance, strategic advisory, and has worked on numerous successful transactions during his career across multiple sectors. Scott most recently was head of M&A and corporate development efforts at iMedX, Inc., an integrated medical document management and health information solutions company. Scott previously worked at TM Capital, an independent middle-market investment banking firm, where he worked on a number of engagements including sell-side transactions, financings, buy-side transactions and corporate finance advisory engagements in a variety of industries. Scott began his career in the investment banking group of Navigant Capital Advisors, where he was involved in several transactions focused within the healthcare and financial sectors.
Scott holds a BS in Accounting and a Master of Accountancy from the University of Tennessee and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant.
Will Carter is a Senior Associate at Sunny River Management, LLC. He supports all Sunny River Management platforms with a focus on corporate development at Fire Safety and Protection, LLC. Will brings over five years of M&A and private investing experience. Prior to joining Sunny River Management, he served as a Senior Associate at Torque Capital Group, a New York-based private equity firm with a focus on distressed manufacturing opportunities. Will also served as an Investment Banking Analyst at Sagent Advisors where he advised clients on M&A transactions, primarily in the aerospace & defense, retail and industrial sectors. Will began his career as an Investment Banking Analyst at Genesis Capital, advising on M&A transactions in the healthcare and media sectors.
Will holds a BS in Economics from Hampden Sydney College and an MS in Commerce from the University of Virginia.
Latif Alam is an Associate at Sunny River Management, LLC. He also serves as a corporate development associate for United Medical Imaging, LLC. Prior to joining Sunny River Management, Latif was a Seed Fund Fellow at the University of Virginia Licensing & Ventures Group. He began his career in marketing and operations at Discover Financial Services.
Latif holds an MBA from The University of Virginia Darden School of Business and a BS in Finance and International Business from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.
